Investing in our homes

We are delighted to confirm that we will be investing £9.3 million into our existing homes in 2025-26.
The investment will result in residents benefitting from more than 900 new kitchens, 31 new bathrooms and over 1,500 new heating systems, alongside other important works like replacement windows, doors and gutters over the next 12 months.
We began investing in our homes when Cross Keys Homes was created 20 years ago. During our first few years, we installed thousands of new kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems to ensure all our home met the Decent Homes Standard. Two decades on, we are once again investing heavily in these homes to ensure residents enjoy reliable, safe and energy efficient homes.
Although we deliver an extensive planned works programme every year, 2025-26 is particularly busy due to the cyclical nature of replacement works. The typical lifespan of a kitchen is 20 years, and we have always planned to deliver ongoing investment in the maintenance of our homes in line with recommended timeframes. Many residents can expect planned works to take place over the next few years, based on when their home was last updated.
Residents with works due to take place during the year will be contacted in April with more information. Residents can also login to MyCKH at any time to check if works are planned for their home during the current financial year.
