7,000 tenancy visits completed!
We have now completed 7,000 of our annual tenancy visits as well as all our annual visits to our retirement housing residents!
Thank you to everyone who has booked and kept an appointment so far!
As your landlord we take our responsibility to provide you with a good quality, safe home very seriously and these visits are essential in allowing us to check the condition of your home and make sure we have all the right information about you.
These visits also help us to understand when you may need some extra support or assistance as it provides an opportunity for you to chat with your Neighbourhood Manager or Scheme Manager about anything you would like to know about the services and support available to you as a CKH resident. Thanks to these visits we’ve manged to help residents in lots of different ways:
One resident had recently been discharged from the hospital after undergoing a medical procedure, which had resulted in considerable mobility limitations. As the resident was unable to access the upper floors of their current home, their Neighbourhood Manager promptly initiated the process of registering the resident for a transfer to find more suitable housing.
Another resident had recently suffered a stroke, and it was clear that they were struggling with the upkeep and cleanliness of their home and was at risk of falling as they were trying to do too much. Their Scheme Manager helped to make a referral to CKH Care and now a carer attends once a week to support them with cleaning their home.
A resident who spends most of her time caring for her son who has severe mental health issues was struggling to keep on top of her garden. After speaking to her Neighbourhood Manager about this during her tenancy visit, we arranged for her garden to be cleared so that it was one less thing for her to worry about and provided a space outside for them both to enjoy.
If you have not had your visit yet, keep an eye open for an email inviting you to book your visit soon.
