6,000 tenancy visits completed!
We have now completed 6,000 of our annual tenancy visits! Thank you to every resident who has booked and kept an appointment so far!
If you are wondering why these visits are so important, here some examples of just a few of the ways we’ve helped residents as a direct result of visiting them in their home this year:
One resident who is a wheelchair user was facing challenges accessing his back garden due to some overgrown plants. We arranged a visit from our Estate Rangers who trimmed back the garden to allow the resident to move more around freely.
A resident confessed during a recent visit that they were ‘scared of technology’ and didn’t know how to use a computer. Their Neighbourhood Manager referred them to our Communities team who supported them to sign up for a Learn my Way course to gain digital skills.
An at risk young resident is now receiving support after being financially abused. We invited the police to come and speak with them and we are working in partnership with several local agencies to keep them safe and make sure they can live independently.
So, if your home visit is coming up, please talk to your Neighbourhood Manager if there is anything you are worried about that we might be able to support you with.
We've heard your feedback that you do not like the word 'inspection' being used to describe our annual tenancy visits. We will be looking at the texts, emails and letters we send you about these visits to make sure we update our language in the future.
