Help inspire Peterborough's young people

We are hosting Peterborough’s first Youth Employment Conference, in partnership with ARU Peterborough, and are looking for local business people to help change the lives of young people.

Date: Thursday 3 June 2025, 10am – 4pm

Venue: ARU Peterborough, University House, Bishop's Rd, Peterborough PE1 5BW

The event is being held at ARU Peterborough’s Living Lab and will give young people the opportunity to meet and be mentored by experienced people working across a variety of roles and industries. The event will also allow participants to take part in mock interviews on the day.

We are calling on passionate and dedicated individuals to join us in two vital roles on the day:

  1. Mentors: Share your wisdom and experience with young adults aged 18-25 who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET). Your guidance can ignite their potential and help them find their path.
  2. Mock Interviewers: Conduct mock interviews to help these young individuals hone their interview skills. Your constructive feedback will empower them with the confidence and readiness they need to step into the job market.

The day will engage with 40 young people and include a keynote speech on a crucial topic supporting young people into work, and a confidence-building workshop. By participating, you will be providing invaluable support to young people who need it the most. Your involvement can make a profound difference, offering them hope, direction, and the tools to build a brighter future.
