Here are the 2024 Residents Awards Winners:

Good Neighbour Award

Ali and Axsay have won this award for showing care and support for their neighbour after a traumatic event. Making food parcels, providing childcare and continuing to support them through the hardship. A truly deserving winner and the definition of a good neighbour.

Good Neighbour Award: Retirement Living / Extra Care

Doreen of Nelson Place has earned this award! Her neighbours say she’s the “go to” resident, and her efforts to keep the community thriving by running the bingo, coffee afternoons, delivering lunches and accompanying her neighbours in hospital, has earned her the crown.

Young Achiever Award

Amy has worked so hard in 2024 and has been crowned our Young Achiever! Amy has spent a lot of time this year pushing herself beyond her comfort zone to better herself and learn new skills. Amy completed the Nene Park Rangers project and also took part in a fantastic film project with Peterborough Presents, whilst navigating her own personal struggles.

Personal Achiever Award

Fay received this award for her tireless efforts to gain her counselling qualification and her university degree all whilst being a single mum and working a part time job!

Community Champion Award

Our Community Champion this year is Wendy! A regular volunteer at WestRaven Community Café, she’s been called “a pillar of the community,” with such incredible care for residents – including hand delivering meals to their doors when they were unwell.

CKH Team Member of the Year

Our CKH team work tirelessly throughout the year for our residents, and this award is chosen completely by them. The chosen CKH Team Member of the Year is Karen! Nothing is ever too much trouble for this winner, with a smile and a kind word for everyone, she leads by example inside CKH and out! Karen was nominated by multiple residents from Finchley Green's retirement housing scheme.
