Kingfisher Court wins prestigious care award
Our care service, Cross Keys Care, is celebrating a fantastic win at the national finals of the prestigious Great British Care Awards.
Our extra care community, Kingfisher Court, won the Housing with Care category. Kingfisher Court was recognised for its excellence in combining housing with the highest quality care, and that it is a real community for its residents.
The judges said of the Kingfisher Court team: “The passion, care, and boundless energy you exude are truly inspiring. The profound impact you have on your client’s lives is evident, and we commend you all for your remarkable work. Well done!”
Cross Keys Care recently celebrated its tenth anniversary and in that time the service has become Peterborough’s largest provider of independent living solutions, offering two extra care schemes, care for people in their own homes and their LifeLine emergency alarm system. Our person-centred care puts the client’s needs at the heart of the service and is able to combine technology and traditional personal care to ensure people are able to live the life they want, in their own home.
Claire Higgins, our Chief Executive, said of the award win: “Cross Keys Care is dedicated to excellence in all we do, and it is fantastic to have this commitment recognised. Kingfisher Court is an amazing community that allows residents to live independently whilst receiving the care and support they need. The team at Kingfisher Court treat all residents with the utmost dignity and respect, building personalised care around their individual needs. And this ethos is reflected across our whole care service – totally person-centred care and support for all. I am truly delighted and totally inspired by the work of Gerardine Church, our wonderful manager and her superb team”
