Double celebration in prestigious care awards
Our care service, Cross Keys Care, is celebrating winning two categories in the prestigious Great British Care Awards, Eastern Region.
Our extra care community, Kingfisher Court, won the Housing with Care award, recognising its excellence in combining housing with the highest quality care, and that it has become a real community for its residents.
Gerardine Church, Manager of Kingfisher Court, won the Dignity in Care category, recognising her passion for people and ensuring they are involved, have a voice and are truly respected through every aspect of their care and housing.
Cross Keys Care celebrated its tenth anniversary this year, and over the past decade we have become Peterborough’s leading provider of independent living solutions, offering two extra care schemes, community care for people in their own homes and our LifeLine emergency alarm system. Our person centred care puts our client’s needs at the heart of the service and we are able to combine technology and traditional personal care to ensure people are able to live the life they want, in their own home.
Claire Higgins, our Chief Executive, said of the award wins: “Cross Keys Care is dedicated to excellence throughout all we do, and it is fantastic to have this commitment recognised. To be shortlisted in nine categories and win two such important ones is an amazing achievement for the team and a great reward for all their hard work in making Cross Keys Care a service to be proud of.”
Kingfisher Court and Gerardine will now go forward to the national awards, in March next year.
