Find out more about retirement and extra care living with CKH
We are offering people the opportunity to find out more about our retirement living communities in a series of open days.
We provide independent living solutions for older people across 26 retirement housing and two extra care communities in Peterborough.
Living in retirement housing communities enables residents to live in their own apartment or bungalow with the additional support of our LifeLine emergency alarm and an on-site Scheme Manager, who will work with the resident to understand what support they can provide for them. Most communities also benefit from communal lounges and busy social calendars, ensuring that no one has to be on their own.
We provide extra care housing at Kingfisher Court in Stanground and Lapwing Apartments in Orton Brimbles which, along with spacious apartments, also offer residents extensive community facilities, which include an onsite restaurant, library, crafts room, large communal lounge and hairdresser. There is on-site management and care packages delivered by our own Care service, where support packages are developed by Cross Keys Care staff specific to the individual’s needs and choices. Help is always close at hand because someone is on site day and night, 365 days a year for emergency support if needed.
You are welcome to attend the open days to meet the team, view the communities and find out how the flexibility of retirement living with us could be the solution for you or your loved one, on the following days:

Our Chief Executive, Claire Higgins, said: “I would urge anybody considering their future housing options, or those of a family member, to come along to one of our open days to find out how CKH could transform your retirement.
“Older people want to retain their independence for as long as they can and now that we are all living longer, people want to retain their independence while still feeling safe and able to summon help if they ever need it. Our retirement housing and extra care schemes, along with our LifeLine alarm, give people the help to do just that whilst living in vibrant and fun communities.”
