New community garden space to promote good mental health

Volunteers for CKH are currently hard at work building a garden in Dogsthorpe to help residents with their mental health challenges and to improve overall wellbeing.

Gardening and spending time with nature has been proven to improve mood and help people to feel better. That’s why CKH has transformed a previously unloved piece of land on Olive Road in Dogsthorpe into a little oasis of calm where people will be able to have their own space to cultivate and grow.

You can come and join us at the garden every Wednesday 1pm – 3pm and Thursday 1.30pm – 3.30pm. You can help us with all manner of tasks, from light weeding, planting and watering, to helping us with some of the bigger building projects. You don't need any previous gardening knowledge or experience.

To find out more and get involved, just complete the form below and we'll be in touch.
