It's Volunteer Week!
Here at CKH we are firm believers in the power of volunteering to transform communities and change lives. Volunteers are passionate people who do amazing things, using their existing skills (and learning new ones!) all for good.
We have a dedicated band of around fifty volunteers who support our communities in all manner of roles from gardening to litter picking, helping people to get on line to leading some of our support groups.
Our volunteers recently helped out at the Families First community hub at Crofts Corner. We donated a container to the group to help them with much needed storage space, and our volunteers spent a great day painting, gardening and generally tidying up.
Not only do our volunteers do amazing things for others, but they also get great benefits themselves. Volunteering helps you meet new people, gain confidence and learn new skills. If you are looking for work, volunteering can look great on your CV, and we can even provide you with a reference.
